Afghanistan is still considered to be the world’s most dangerous place. The residents of this country are still killed, displaced, and suffer incredible hardship. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announces, that the number of Afghans in need last year increased by 13%, and now it makes 9.3 million.
In the first nine months of 2016, 8 397 people were killed in the conflict in Afghanistan. The number of children killed increased by 15% at that. They were basically killed in the explosion of unexploded charges.
In 2016 a record number of displaced was registered in the Afghanistan. Only in November half a million-people left their homes, half of them were children. They were subject to violence, including sexual harassment.
Malnutrition rates in 20 out of 34 provinces of Afghanistan exceeded the indicators of the state of emergency. 1.3 million emaciated children need urgent medical care. More than nine million people do not have access to health care, due to which the maternal and child mortality rates in Afghanistan are the highest in the world.
