Ukraine elections: Zelensky to face Poroshenko in runoff vote

Vladimir Zelensky will face Petro Poroshenko during the second round of Ukraine’s presidential elections.

Vladimir Zelensky has 30.18% of the vote and the current head of state, Petro Poroshenko, has 16.65% of the vote, DW reported.

Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko ranked third with 13.22%. Some 11.43% of Ukrainians voted for candidate Yuriy Boiko, while leader of the Civil Position Party Anatoliy Hrytsenko had 7.04% and ex-chief of Ukraine’s SBU Security Service Ihor Smeshko scored 5.95%.

The turnout was 63.52%.
